Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Earl Lewis Ed.S, M.A., LPC, NCC, NCMHC, knew he was going to be a therapist while attending New Jersey City University. He saw the need to help people achieve the life they wanted to live & relationships they wanted to have. He completed his Master’s (M.A.) in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical/Mental Health. He started his career working with residential adults diagnosed with intellectual disabilities & at-risk youth. He then went on to complete his post-master degree (Ed.S.) in Couples & Family Therapy with a concentration in family systems, conflict resolution, and relationship goals.
Since then, he has worked with a number of non-profit agencies, clinics, hospitals, & contracted with private practices in New Jersey. He most recently relocated to Miramar, Florida, where he continues to specialize in relationship issues, helping parents with their out of control child, & substance abuse. He enjoys basketball, football, the beach, swimming, & cooking.
Earl’s believes in a strength based, motivational philosophy in counseling. The idea is that people have the innate ability to overcome their obstacles with CBT intervention, guidance, insight, some motivation, solution-focused, and a slight push in the the direction the client wants to go.
