Gislene Schurman



Gislene has been a Therapist since 2002.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Florida Atlantic University in 1999, and her Master of Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2002.  Gislene is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Certified Master’s Level Addiction Professional and a Qualified Clinical Supervisor in the State of Florida.  Gislene completed her internship at South County Crisis Unit, working with dual diagnosed clients.

Gislene is interested in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing Modality, Multi-cultural issues and speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.  Gislene has worked in the Mental Health field for over 15 years as a Case Manager, Group Facilitator, children, teenager and adult therapist.  Gislene has worked as an educator and therapist in drug abuse Prevention and Intervention and has experience in various levels of care including, Intensive Inpatient, Residential, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient as well as Private Practice.
