“ Conducts Free PTSD Seminar for Parkland Shooting Victims”

NBC 6’s Michael Spears reports from Coral Springs, where a seminar was set up to help with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder following the Parkland school shooting.  Therapists Christine Quinn, Julian VIves, Tamara Zenner, and Eileen Somerville and iiTherapies Administration Director Jacquelyn Morris explained the important distinctions between PTSD and ASD, and how to identify the symptoms, and how it affects their family. Parents learned how to communicate with their children about the event and how to address different levels of anxiety about returning to school on Wednesday.
